Montefiore House as it was about 1870, on the corner of Palmer Place and Montefiore Hill, and opposite the future Light's Vision monument (State Library of South Australia B29350). The site of the Adelaide business premises can be found here, and some details of his earlier Australian business activities can be found here.   Montefiore House as it was in about 1890, when it was the house of Sir Samuel Way, Chief Justice of South Australia 1876-1916. The front wing extending close to the front fence on Montefiore Hill has been removed and a second story added.   Montefiore House today, as the administrative wing of Aquinas College. The second story has been removed, but the arched portico survives.
