Barrow #82 died at Mouquet Farm during the 26 Aug 1916 Allied offensive. The above image (from http://www.ww1westernfront.gov.au/pozieres-windmill/aif-memorial-mouquet-farm/mouquet-farm.php#!lightbox-uid-0) shows an artillery position such as were employed to support the attack by shelling ahead of the advancing troops. No doubt artillerymen Aubrey #18 or Cecil #85 were at such a place. Cecil died at Querrieu near Amiens to the west on 10 April 1918, but Aubrey survived WW1. Many troops from Barrow's 21st Battalion went missing at Mouquet Farm and their bodies were not recovered.   Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux. Barrow #82 is commemorated here (but not buried in the nearby cemetery - see image to right).   View of Villers-Bretonneux Cemetery from Memorial
