In Lisbon a change was
noted since Julian Land's last visit in 2003 -
in the small Praca on the north-east corner of
the main Praca Dom Pedro IV (commonly known as
Praca Rossio) can be found a memorial to the New
Christians massacred in 1506. The small square is in front of the former Inquisitional Office building. As can be seen, this is a 500 year commemoration. |
