it is uncertain if he was the father
the children appear to have been adopted out to Benjamin #2609
Marriage Notes for Mary Lousada and Michael GRANT
see ref 324
she may have been living with relatives in 1784 when a military muster was called showing Jacob #683 with 3 children one under 10the 1790 NY Census shows the house of Michael Grant with 3 females - so it appears that once married the couple produced 2 daughters (additional to the illegitimate Benjamin #1177 whom we suggest was living with Benjamin #2609)
in 1800 census (see ref 324) has 2 young children (presumably Mary and Samuel) plus a male between 10-16 and two females between 16-25
The male seems likely to have been his youngest and orphaned half-brother Jacob (Jacob 683 died in 1791)
Samuel was a picture-frame maker - 1800 Census for Philadelphia
Died in Boston - did the family move to Boston to be with the wife's family in preparation for Samuel's death?
DEATH: Also shown as Died Bef Oct 1802
see grave details https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/44671644/rachel-phyfe and this reference gives details of 7 children
his family was Presyterian - see ref 331 p25
she appears to have been Jewish but was baptized in the 1840s (Bob Leuzarder 14 Aug 2020)
a cabinetmaker and quite famous for his work - Isaac #415 may have been employed see ref 331

Joseph and Baruch Barrow of Barbados given power of attorney over the estate of Moses Nunes on 16 Jan 1786 ref 44/162 Barbados Registration Office
on 22 Aug 1759 Joseph Barrow with Isaac Lindo witnessed the will of Judith Castello ref 190 last page - this means he must have been born almost 20 years beforehand and perhaps around 1742 a date which takes allows for both Baruch and another son to have been born even earlier. The 1720 birthdate of Bailah means that Baruch could not have been born much earlier that 1738.
on 26 Feb 2018 John Griffiths emailed as follows on the descendants of Joseph Barrow:
It looks like he also had two daughters. In his will, right after Richard two other people are mentioned... "Nanny Juddy and Betsey Ann, his two mulatto girls (lately manumitted in London)". In the Cheesman notes there is a second reference: "£200 each to Nanny Judy and Betsy Ann two mulattos at age 21"This is more than he gives to his nephew Jacob Joseph Levi. Further, the order in which they are mentioned are immediately before that of his sisters, and just after his wife and Richard. This is slightly cryptic and does not prove much. However, if you read Sarah's will then the two girls are again mentioned.
"To Judith Laurie wife of Robert Laurie of Leith Scotland, slaves. To said Ann Judith Laurie plate and a silver coffee urn. To brother Isaac Depiza Massiah slaves. To the use of Elizabeth Ann Belgrave, wife of Jacob Belgrave free mulatto. Silver articles to E.A.Belgrave."
A major part is that Ann Judith (Nanny Judy) and Elizabeth Ann (Betsy Ann) are described as his mulatto girls, even though they had been manumitted. Therefore, ownership could not have been the factor for them being referenced as his. The second connection is that family silver is being given to these two girls in addition to slaves in Sarah's will. Sarah is showing something here that goes beyond financial compensation.
The key that I have is in my blood. I was trying to trace down why I have African and Iberian ancestry (and my half-sister does not). I am a direct descendant of Ann Judith Laurie... who is described in the wills as a mulatto. Having gone back deep into the 1700s, the only potential Iberian connection I have is with Joseph Barrow. Therefore, the supposition is that the discussion of the two girls as "his two mulatto girls" seems to be one of parentage and not ownership.
Elizabeth Ann returned to Barbados and apparently owned a sugar estate

Joseph Barrow's will lists Isaac Depeza Massiah as a brother-in-law. Perhaps he was Sarah's brother - so we take her middle name and surname from this
Sarah's will was entered 31 March 1814 and suggests she died in Barbados
from Shilstone she was 72 at death 19 Mar 1814
from ref 132 www.barrow-lousada.org we see her name was written Sarah daughter of Abraham de Simon Massiah

Marriage Notes for Joseph Barrow and E? BARROW
little is known of this relationship other than than 3 mulatto children appeared and were manumitted (see notes for Joseph Barrow).
The children were evidently conceived well after the rather late marriage of Joseph and Sarah (who was probably past child-rearing at the date of her marriage).
Appears as a property-owner in Barbados

Presumably the Simha = Simah = Semayeh in Simon Barrow's will
There is (in ref 61 #284) a Simha d7 Oct 1789 aged 41 wife of Abraham Berzaglo - so we can take her to be the daughter of SB1 since even though he died over 10 years later his will could have been written before 1789 (as he died very old - around 90) and it contemplates his daughter marrying Abraham Berzaglo
As the will provides for his legacy if Abraham married Simha, Solomon was born before the marriage, it seems possible that Simha was married to another Berzaglo who predeased her - and in accordance with the custom she married his brother.
However the Buzaglo genealogy in ref 358 has no other relevant Buzaglos so perhaps Simon Barrow in his will was seeking to regularize the situation.
Berzaglo in the will of Simon Barrow, this marriage is contemplated yet there is a son Solomon Berzaglo.
Abraham's dates from Shilstone ref 61 #284
Berzaglo grandson mentioned in SB1 will and also nephew mentioned in Jacob Barrow will
in his will, with probate 1804, Solomon refers to his uncle Joseph Barrow of Barbados but Solomon's address is Kingston Jamaica

Jacub Baruch [MHC8-LY5] or Barrow m 19 Oct 1785 London, Middlesex to Yael Nunes [MHC8-G9Z]The above seems to match with birth of children shortly after...MARRIAGE: Also shown as Married Bevis Marks.
The Barrow family tree records her as marrying a Jacob Levi whereas she is named Eve Joseph in the will of her father who died in 1801. On www.barrow-lousada.org we show she must have married Jacob first then Joseph and consider it likely that they were brothers.
The Barrow tree also gives a daughter as Simha who marries Lewis Cohen. Frank Cheesman's notes on the will of Simon Barrow (see www.barrow-lousada.org) confirm this.
There is no indication of a 7th sibling Eve in the wills of Joseph or Jacob Barrow. Some deceased siblings got mentioned (Baruch and Jacob in Joseph's will). Eve could have died much earlier; her daughter Judith married in 1797 and Eve had few probaly just 2 children.
An obvious explanation is that Joseph Levi had a marriage before he married the widow Eve Barrow and that Jacob Joseph Levi was his son.
see www.barrow-lousada.org - Barbados page - for a discussion of him and his probable brother Joseph Levi both of whom married Eve
Marriage Notes for Eve Barrow and Jacob LEVI
the marriage date can be estimated from the marriage dates of Simha #969 1791 and Judith #454 1797
it must be earlier than 1778 otherwise it would have been recorded in ref 132 of www.barrow-lousada.org and it must be no later than 1770 if Simha was 15 or more at her marriage.
This niece (in Jacob and Joseph Barrow wills) is in the Barrow tree as a daughter of Eve.
She married before her sister Judith and therefore her fathe was probably Jacob.
She pre-deceased her husband Lewis Cohen - not appearing in his will proved 1823.
