Some confusion in the literature surrounds Emanuel #41 - who his father was, who his wife was and indeed whether he was the father of Aaron #125 and Jacob #36. This is resolved on www.barrow-lousada.org through examination of the Barbados origin of the Jamaican Lousadas and the results are included in this genealogy.
Emanuel's birthdate comes from ref 5 www.barrow-lousada.org.
Death date from ref 88 www.barrow-lousada.org - the only Esther wife of Emanuel in this era
conceivably place of birth was not Jamaica - for he could have been born somewhere French on his father's path to Jamaica. The threatened (but ultimately selective) expulsion of Jews from Southwest France in 1683 may have prompted a departure and the expulsion from Guadeloupe and Martinique in 1683 or 1685 means that his father could have married in any of these places and Isaac born in Guadeloupe, Martinique or even Barbados. Indeed it is quite likely that his father was married in Barbados and moved to Jamaica much later - perhaps at the same time as his son-in-laws Emanuel 41 and Jacob 380.

Isaac Lamego is often said to have married a Rachel Lousada. This is probably wrong. She was certainly not the sister of Jacob Baruh Lousada nor his daughter (as the Benjamin Barrow Lousada tree shows!). The former possibility seems impossible, as the sister was an unmarried widow of Rodrigues Lopes in Jamaica at the time of Jacob's death whilst Isaac Lamego was still alive and in London.
Incorrect death date from BMR6 11Se5527 Appendix C #1327 (wife #1328) aged 57 gives implied birthdate of 1710 which seems wrong as his daughter Abigail was born in 1723! Edgar Samuel by email 16 Oct 2013 informs us that Albert Hyamson's 'Dictionary of Anglo-Jewish Biography' in of Anglo-Jewish Notabilities gives on p38 birth year 1685 ie age at death 82. We observe that it requires 2 transcription errors to get from 82 to 57 - both of which are plausible! Subsequently on 22 Oct 2013 Edgar Samuel found from inspection of an image in Bevis Marks Archives of the grave before the relocation to Brentwood that indeed there had been at least one transcription error - the first ie age at death was 80 plus and thus we take 82 as the correct date as per Hyamson. In his will dated 16 Sep 1754 codicil 17 Dec 1761 Isaac Lamego refers to 2 siblings (ref NA 1263 synagoguescribes) Moses (who married a Lousada - daughter of Jacob #380) and Abraham - presumably the others Esther, Abigail and Rebecca predeceased him
many people have said that Isaac Lamego married Rachel Lousada. Some sources have got it badly wrong though - it even being stated that he married Rachel the daughter of his daughter Abigail who married Jacob Baruh Lousada #36 which seems impossible. It is also impossible for him to have married Rachel Baruh Lousada the sister of Jacob Baruh Lousada #36 who was married to Rodrigues Lopes of Jamaica though widowed by 1752 but unmarried.
