Birthdate 1736-43 based on Simon Greenfield analysis of Mendes da Costa wills. Death place and date from (ref 81 www.barrow-lousada.org).
His will is discussed in www.barrow-lousada.org - go to 'key documents'.
The Molyneux-Seel descendant's notes put his death at 1807 but this is an error according to Barnett & Wright #299 which gives his death in 1797. If as she states it Isaac was 14 on this date then Isaac's birth was 1783

using http://www.hebcal.com/converter/?gd=21&gm=9&gy=1763&g2h=Convert+Gregorian+to+Hebrew+dateThe marriage does not seem to have been easy, at least as judged by the childrens' birthdates. The firstborn - Abigail did not arrive until nearly 4 years after the marriage. The first son Aaron who died young did not arrive until 12 years of marriage. Esther was probably born around 1746 (between her brothers Emanuel born 1744 and Isaac born 1748) so was about 17 when she married.
The 2nd Aaron - probably a mulatto - see discussion of the wills of Emanuel and Grace Lopes Torres in key documents - arrived before Isaac the last son so if there had been an estrangement - perhaps only due to Esther returning to England for a period - they were soon reconciled with Grace Lopes Torres adopting the 2nd Aaron.
One wonders how much time Esther spent in Jamaica - though Emanuel in his will thanks female relatives for assisting sons Daniel and Jacob when they were in England this may be because Esther was not capable even though she herself may have been in England. She was born, married and died in England - but as noted must have returned to Jamaica for a period for the conception and birth of Isaac.
There is an Aaron Haim Lousada d 17 May 1775 Kingston with father Emanuel - ref 88 of www.barrow-lousada.org shows this Aaron died aged 16 months and 24days - this person is the first son of Emanuel #135 named Aaron. He would have been long dead at the time of Emanuel's death in 1797 but the second Aaron survived his father.
Codicil A of the will of Emanuel #135 takes great care to ensure that the inheritance of second Aaron is not challenged.
He visited England as Judith wife of Isaac #36 received a bequest for looking after him when in England (see extract of will of his father on www.barrow-lousada.org)
We have noted that jamaicanfamilysearch.com gives an extract from the Will of Jacob Baruch Lousada of St. Catherine, dated 27th November, 1800, and recorded at Liber 69, folio 52. Proved 19th December, 1800:- . "I give and bequeath to the old Synagogue in Spanish Town £100 for the use of the poor of the said Synagogue."
he inherited Banks Estate from his father - 760 acres in St Anns
From Kingston
Daniel visited London and for a while was looked after by Mrs Hananel d'Aguilar who received a bequest in the will of his father (see www.barrow-lousada.org for extracts from this will).
The family notes in the Molyneux-Seel papers (ref 34 of www.barrow-lousada.org) advise that Daniel died in London in 1825 and his wife Rachel in Brussels in 1837 and that there no children. Colyer-Fergusson's notes show burial date.
